Owen Zubek is a filmmaker, photographer, and Director of Photography based in Cleveland, Ohio.

He first started working with cameras in high school, teaching himself through online tutorials and by taking on projects for anyone willing to give him a chance. While studying at John Carroll University, Owen worked alongside Cleveland portrait photographer James Douglas, gaining hands-on experience in the city’s commercial video and photography industry.

Today, Owen focuses on creating strong visual stories through film and photography. His work includes music videos, brand content, and documentary-style projects. Whether he’s filming on set or editing in post-production, he approaches every project with careful attention to detail.

Alongside filmmaking, photography remains an important part of his work. He shoots editorial, landscape, and architectural imagery, often using aerial perspectives captured as an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot.

Through both motion and still imagery, Owen works with artists, brands, and organizations to create visuals that are simple, cinematic, and meaningful.

Owen is also a dedicated marathon runner and a brand ambassador for Brooks Running. With a personal best marathon time of 3:22:49, running is an important part of his life outside of filmmaking.

He enjoys pushing his limits, training consistently, and being part of the running community. Whether he’s creating visual work or preparing for his next race, Owen approaches both with the same focus and discipline.
